How does this work?
Dixie will meet with you and your fur-baby for an initial consultation. There, she will learn about the pet’s needs, your expectations and the in’s and out’s of your home. If all goes well, you can book your first appointment with her there.
I’m a potential new client, can I use the appointment form?
Yes. For first time appointments please understand that your appointment will not be confirmed until Dixie confirms the appointment. Once confirmed, Dixie will arrive at the location address provided to meet you and your pet and learn what needs to be learned about the house, the pet’s schedule, medical needs etc. This will also be the initial meet to determine how the pet reacts to the new visitor. This initial meeting is instrumental in creating an on-going working relationship and must be scheduled prior to an actual sitting need.
What if I scheduled an appointment and need to cancel it?
If you have scheduled an appointment and need to cancel, please contact Dixie directly so she won’t arrive when not needed and so another fur-friend can be booked in your place. If Dixie arrives and the cancellation was not confirmed, you will be billed for the service.
What if my pet isn’t friendly with strangers?
This is exactly why an initial consultation is necessary. If the pet sees that you are okay with Dixie then this is an excellent first step towards getting to know the pet. Then, it’s up to Dixie and the pet to determine if this relationship will work out.
My pet needs medications, will Dixie dispense those to him/her?
Yes. Please leave the medications out on the counter in plain sight with instructions and be sure that you have informed Dixie prior to her visit.
